ANNOUBIN VALLEY 1/5/2013
WALKLEB takes u to visit the holy valley of Annoubine, known as Wede El Eddesin
Time: 8:30 am - Place: Saseen Square
Our event will begin with a 3h hike in one of the deepest and most beautiful valleys in Lebanon, known by Wadi Qannoubin and located in the Northern part of Lebanon - The valley is scattered with caves, chapels, hermitages and monasteries cut from rock. We will start our trail ...from the top of Haouqa village and going down the valley, where we will be visiting one of the monks on our way, St. Marina convent.
* We will end our hike at Abou Joseph Restaurant located deep in the valley ( u can order whatever u want ) EXCLUDED
After to continue our way up by local transportation (2000 L.L per person)
* What to wear and bring :
- Comfortable hiking shoes
- Comfortable pants
- Hat
- Sun glasses
- Protection cream
Annoubin Valley hike is rated :
* Medium: 2-3 hours at slow pace, on easy and some rugged trails, including some uphill and downhill,

Altitude: 650 to 720 meters
Distance from Beirut: 27 km
It is one of the most wonderful villages in the Caza of Aley, with its traditional houses and very nice architecture surrounded by many kinds of trees like Pine, olive and fig trees.
We will be accompanied by the municipality and a group of the people from Dfoun
Dfoun's hike is rated:
* medium: 2-3 hours at slow pace, on easy and some rugged trails, including some uphill and downhill.

WALKLEB TAKES YOU TO VISIT RAFQA, HARDINI AND WINERIES IN BATROUN
Time: 8:30 - place: Saseen Square
Our first stop will be visiting the monastery of St Rafqa where we will visiting the monastery and have our breakfast Ixsir will be our second stop: A truly Lebanese wine, IXSIR blends varieties of grapes found across the country: Batroun in the North, Jezzine in the South, and the hillsides of the Bekaa Valley in the East. This year, the famous winery was awarded the esteemed honor of being named one of the greenest buildings in the world by CNN. Ixsir has received 5 medals from London International Wine fair.
Our third stop will be the monastery of KFIFAN Where you can visit Saint Neemtallah el Hardini and the beatified monk, Estephan Nehmeh: http://www.maronitehistory.org/Naamatallah_Hardini
Afterwards, you will see the winery of ADYAR: Located in the monastery of Kfifan. Adyar was established in 2003, cultivating vineyards in Batroun, Metn and Chouf, and producing unique wines.
The vineyards are not exposed to any chemical fertilizers or pesticides, thus giving us high quality organic wines.Adyar produces white, rose and red wines. You will get the chance to taste them during your visit.
We will be ending our event with a Lebanese Lunch (mezza and mashewe+open soft drinks) in one of the most beautiful and reputable restaurants In Batroun

Rock climbing & Abseiling (Rappel et Escalade) In Tannourine (Balou3 Bal3a) If you have ever wanted to experience the exhilarating rush of abseiling or rock climbing in and around Lebanon, then this is your chance!
If you’re a beginner then an abseiling and rock-climbing lesson is the ideal way to learn confidence, balance and co-ordination. WALKLEB got a range of abseiling and rock climbing experiences to suit all abilities!
Tannourine is the plural of the Syriac word Tannour. A Tannour is an old stone oven used in ancient times. The very first settlers established a number of Tannours in Tannourine-Al-Fawqa, and later settled down the valley in
Tannourine-Al-Tahta, where a more fertile landscape allowed local agriculture to thrive.
Tannourine lies in a collection of valleys and ravines accessible either from Douma, a backroad from Bsharri or from a newly constructed highway direct from Batroun.
Altitude: 1500m
Distance from Beirut: 75 km
Area: Approximately 100km2, including the cedars reserve.

*Where you can park your car and take the shuttle bus to our destination
*We will be having a small stop to get water and supplies for the trip (15mins)
At 10:00 we will be reaching the area of the Balou3 to start Our exciting event
*A Professional instructor will make sure to give you the know-how and all the techniques that you will need, along with a professional team to insure your security.

- Thick pants (UFO)

- Running shoes or army shoes

We will end our event With a BBQ
