Snowshoeing trip to Al Kamouaa - February 24th 2008.
“Kamouaa” is the most important forest of Lebanon. It lies from the “valley of Gehanam” to “Kobayat” and from “Fnaydek to the “Nassarahs of Koubayat” region. This forest has more than 10 million trees of fifty different species, the most important of these are the junipers, cedars, and Cilician firs.
On Sunday the 24th of February 2008, Blue Carrot Adventure Club is organizing a snowshoeing trip to this magnificent part of Lebanon, the “Kamouaa Forest”.
The hike will be of an easy to intermediate level.
We will meet in the parking lot facing “Apotre” High School in Jounieh at 7:00 AM.
Participants are kindly reminded to be equipped with:
Hiking boots (if not Waterproof be sure to get another pair for after the hike)
Spare socks
Towel
Sunscreen
Sunglasses
Hat
Gloves
The price of the tour is 25$ including:
