Last hike of 2009 with Cyclamen... Enjoy Holy Place and Nature in Lebanon - 27 December Qadisha Valley
For bookings please
contact TAREK on 70 205275.
Cyclamen
invites you on a trip to the North of Lebanon to experience one of the world's
most incredible sites - the Qadisha Valley, classified as a World Heritage Site
since 1998.
This Sunday our hike will commence at the upper part of the
valley which acted as a refuge for monks during the Ottoman persecution. This
hike is considered moderate but expect some challenging downhill rocky pathways
at the beginning. Along the way we will visit the hermitage of Hawqa, Saint
Marina, and Our Lady of Qannoubine embedded in this stunning valley. The trail
is around 10 km and during the day we will take a break for a picnic lunch. We
will make a stop along the way to buy manouche sandwiches from the village of
Kosba to support the local community.
So for those of you who have never
experienced the Qadisha Valley now is the time to...... and for those of you who
have already been there, this Sunday is the day to experience the wonders of
the valley once again!
