With Victoria Falls high on any traveler’s to-do list, Zambia is busy attracting visitors who can't currently get to the falls' other side from troubled neighbor Zimbabwe. Zambia's recent tourism gains, in light of Zimbabwe's misfortune, has brought a much-needed boost to its impoverished economy, and seems set to continue to do so in 2009. Livingstone, at the edge of the falls, is booming, with rafting and bungee jumping on offer once you've edged out to the Knife Edge precipice to see the falls from above. Travelers are also slowly starting to spread out across the country: more than ever are making it to Kafue National Park, one of the largest tracts of national park wilderness in the world.
